Meet Blessing Oluwadare

A dedicated public servant, educator, and community advocate running for Maryland House of Delegates District 35B to build stronger, more equitable neighborhoods where every family can thrive.

Rooted in service and community

Dr. Blessing Oluwadare’s journey is shaped by a deep commitment to the people of Maryland. Having settled in Edgewood, Harford County, after immigrating to the United States and proudly earning her American citizenship, she understands firsthand the promise of the American dream. Her dedication to neighbors stems from lived experience and a relentless drive to ensure working-class families receive the resources and representation they deserve.

Proven public sector experience

Blessing brings a well-rounded record of public and community service across Maryland. She has served residents directly through her work with the Maryland State Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA) and contributed to federal administration as an Immigration Services Assistant with USCIS. Combined with her background as an educator, newscaster, and local entrepreneur, she brings genuine insight into everyday economic struggles and workforce needs.

In Annapolis, Blessing will fight for bread-and-butter affordability by tackling housing shortages and rising utility bills. She champions strong schools and workforce training through responsible state spending, supporting priorities like the Blueprint for Maryland's Future without burdening families with higher taxes. Above all, she is committed to safe streets and accessible healthcare for all communities without discrimination.

A clear vision for District 35B

"True leadership begins with listening, serving without discrimination, and ensuring that every family in our community has a fair pathway to prosper."
